Corriander Mint Chutney

Our country has some innumerable recipes of chutneys. Every variation has its own taste and goes well for certain food items. This chutney is very popular in India, specially for sandwiches. Moreover, the inclusion of Mint, Corriander, ginger, lime makes it healthy. Please find the recipe below.

Ingredients

• Corriander leaves washed and chopped 1½cup or 2 hands full
• Mint leaves /Pudina ½ cup or 1 hand ful
• Green chilli 3
• Ginger 1 inch
• Peanuts 2 teaspoons
• Sugar 1 teaspoon
• Salt 1 teaspoon
• Juice of half a lime
• Chat Masala ¾ teaspoon
• Cumin Powder ½ teaspoon
• Water if required.

Method

• Wash and chop the Corriander and mint leaves and add it to mixer jar.
• Put in Green chillis, Ginger, Peanuts, Sugar, chaat masala, Cumin Powder, lime juice, salt and give it pulse.
• Water can be added only if needed. I didn’t need water.
• Please include salt watchfully. The sugar, salt and lime together gives a sweet & sour taste, the green chilli gives it enough heat which makes this chutney perfect for sandwiches, dhoklas, idlis etc.
• It is very delicious and extremely tasty and easy to prepare as well.
